Born and raised in Ottawa, ON, Steph La Rochelle has been entertaining audiences, big and small, since the mere age of 5 years old.
She won numerous singing competitions, recorded her first demo, and entertained thousands of people at Disney World with her big voice & charismatic personality – all before the age of 10.
After that came a string of shows in and around the Ottawa area for the Spirit of the Capital Youth Awards, the ALS Society of Canada, the Ottawa Tulip Festival, and the Central Canadian Exhibition, to name a few.

Steph has always been very active in her community. In 2008 she lent her talents to the recording of a single for the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario in memory of Hannah Elizabeth Walker which raised a significant amount of money for the cause.

Steph has built quite a fan base over the years. She runs a YouTube channel where she regularly posts videos. In 2009, her channel was titled, #20 “Most Viewed YouTube Musicians – Today”.

Fresh out of high school, Steph received national exposure as she was crowned 1st Runner Up on a nationwide singing competition that aired on CBC TV. Since then, she’s attained numerous TV/Film credits to her name, including: Satisfaction (CTV), Copper (BBC), The Preacher’s Sin (Lifetime MOW), and she appears in the David Cronenberg online interactive experience, Body/Mind/Change – Evolution. Stephanie also appeared as a guest star on the well-known and beloved Canadian family drama, Heartland (CBC), where she plays a busking runaway and sings one of her original songs. She was honoured when it was used as the theme song for a youth camp in Alberta. In the Disney Channel hit, Backstage, Steph has a recurring role as “Frances”, a mentor to the music students.

Steph is making her mark on the Canadian Country Music scene. She was one of ten Canadian Female Emerging Artists who performed at RBC’s Bluesfest as well as one of six finalists in the Canadian Country Music Association’s (CCMA) Discovery Program and showcased at Canadian Country Music Week in Saskatoon, SK. She is working on Factor-funded material.

Most recently, Steph played “Zoe Murphy” in the first international production of the smash broadway musical, Dear Evan Hansen, at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto. She then went on to join the National Tour and is touring North America.
