Event Requirements 2017

 To host a successful event at Ontario Place the following is required:

·         Event Contract and Booking Confirmation: A non refundable deposit is due at the time of booking along with an Event Plan and signed Event Contract to hold space.

·         Event Insurance: $2,000,000 - $5,000,000 Due with balance payments (7 - days prior to event) Events at Ontario Place are required to provide proof of valid Comprehensive General Liability Insurance and All-Risks Property Damage Insurance (including Fire Insurance) coverage to a minimum amount of $2,000,000 for each event. A Certificate of Insurance for Comprehensive Liability Insurance coverage will be requested, indicating the limit of the liability coverage and naming Ontario Place Corporation as an additional insured.

·         Security Deposit: $1,000 (small events) $5-10,000 (large events) – required at time of booking. The deposit will be applied against charges arising during the event, such as any damages to the premises.

·         Permits, Licenses and Approvals: Event organizers are responsible for obtaining and maintaining (at its own cost) all necessary permits, licenses and approvals relating to the event. The Client will also ensure that all personnel hold all valid licences, qualification or accreditations required bylaw with respect to the event.

·         Site Permit: A site permit will be issued and be provided to the event organizer upon receipt of

o   Balance payment

o   Security Deposit

o   Insurance Certificate


Payment Policy


A 50% deposit (of which 25% if non refundable) is due at time of booking in order to hold the space

Balance Payment

Payable at time of contract signing

Final payment

Due within 7 days from conclusion of event. Final invoice will include support fees (eg. Security, waste removal etc.), less security deposit if no damage to site is incurred as validated by site inspection
