WIND: Harmony in Motion

Welcome to WIND: Harmony in Motion, an immersive light installation by Samuel Kiehoon Lee. Suspended six feet in the air, this captivating exhibit transforms the essence of a traditional wind chime into a symphony of light and sound, inviting visitors to engage with the harmonies of nature and technology.

Comprising acrylic tubes illuminated by vibrant LED lights, WIND: Harmony in Motion, is an exploration of the interconnectedness between human interaction and the environment. As the wind gently orchestrates the tubes’ dance, the installation comes alive with a mesmerizing play of colours and subtle melodies, creating a sensory experience that transcends the boundaries of sight and sound.

Engagement doesn’t end with the wind. Visitors are encouraged to become active participants in the composition, gently pushing the tubes to evoke a melodic response. The tactile interaction not only adds a personal touch to the exhibit, but also emphasizes the synergy between human agency and the inherent movements of the wind.

As you explore the installation, consider the dynamic interplay between the ever-changing wind patterns and your own subtle interventions. Feel the resonance as the tubes respond to your touch, creating a unique auditory and visual narrative. WIND: Harmony in Motion is an invitation to reconnect with the environment, to play with the elements, and to discover the beauty that emerges when nature, technology, and human interaction harmonize in a symphony of light and sound.
