The incredible range of vibrations go from the heart felt beats of the Eagleheart Singers & Drummers, a traditional Pow Wow drum, DJ’s Classic-Roots and DJ Kimivn who blend Electronica fusion with Indig rhythms. Now in its eighth year, The festival brings together communities, cultures, and experiences for a day of live music and DJs. City Hall Live is a music discovery series that highlights local musicians, and partners with grassroots organizations, venues, and presenters. City Hall Live is teaming up with Mixto Festival to produce this day’s program.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n August 8<\/p>\n It’s Ok*’s fourth annual outdoor festival will showcase the vibrant and diverse talent within Toronto’s Black arts community. Set against the backdrop of a warm summer, this festival celebrates art, culture, and community. Toronto soul-jazz band re.verse will lay the ground for an afternoon of your Soulquarian favourites with a roster of singers and emcees from across the GTA (to be announced). Including renditions of songs by Erykah Badu, The Roots, D’Angelo, Common, J Dilla, Q-Tip, Talib Kweli, Yasiin Bey, and Bilal. The day will wrap with a party featuring DJ Mensa and savvv featuring Soulquarians classics and adjacent chunes!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n August 15<\/p>\n Open Canvas returns to Trillium Park at Ontario Place for its waterfront festival featuring live music, art installations, local food vendors, and community programming set against the Toronto skyline. Part of the launch of the Open Canvas City Tour, a multi-day celebration of music, art, food, and connection across some of Toronto’s most inspiring cultural spaces. This year’s festival invites attendees to move through the city together, discovering new sounds, new food, and new friends along the way. Open Canvas is a not-for-profit festival built to create more reasons for people to gather, discover, and connect through culture<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n August 16<\/p>\n Wavelength’s Summer Thing, the annual celebration in Trillium Park returns for a full day of fun.
