Constellation Range

Constellation Range

Constellation Range is a sculptural landscape of illuminated peaks that form a small mountain range. By day, faceted planes of white acrylic and dark-grey surfaces evoke snowfields, ice, and exposed rock. By night, the range glows from within — slow aurora-like gradients layered with bursts of light that shimmer across its surfaces.

Constellation Range explores how technology mediates presence, how the invisible signals we carry mirror ancient ways of mapping, gathering, and storytelling.  It invites reflection on the “digital aura” we generate, emit, and surround ourselves with each day, urging us to experience it not as data, but as an atmosphere. As people move nearby, the work translates presence into light and sound. Ambient Bluetooth activity becomes a constellation of brief pulses, while a gentle, generative soundscape swells and recedes in response. The piece invites visitors to walk among them and experience the work from multiple angles, pause, listen, and take part, to notice how individual gestures ripple through a shared environment.
