OPEN CALL FOR ONTARIO ARTISTS
Lumière: The Art of Light will temporarily transform Trillium Park at Ontario Place in February and March, 2027. This free exhibition invites Ontario artists to explore light as a creative medium under the theme “Structures of Light“. This theme focuses on installations where light serves as the primary artistic medium, shaping form, structure, and spatial experience. Installations will be selected for their ability to read as sculptural elements during the day and reveal their full expression through illumination after dark. Simple, intuitive interactive elements that allow visitors to activate or influence the work may be incorporated.
HOW TO SUBMIT A PROPOSAL
- Review all the criteria and info provided when building a submission.
- All light installations are site specific and familiarization with the site is invaluable to creating a successful proposal. Book a site tour by emailing oplumiere@ontario.ca.
- The deadline for submissions is Friday, September 18, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
