Spring is in the air!

Winter is a magical time of the year, when everything is blanketed in snow and frost. The days are short, but the nights are long. As winter slowly transitions into spring, the sun warms the frozen land, gradually melting away the snow and ice. Everything starts to become alive with color – blossoming trees, singing birds, and buzzing bees. Flowers bloom, animals start to stir from their winter slumber, and the world is filled with new life…. and art!

Here are some ways you can enjoy these warmer days at Ontario Place.

Experience an outdoor art event

Until May 7th, explore Lumière: The Art of Light in its new home in Trillium Park! This free outdoor light exhibition allows visitors to explore the park and experience art developed by Ontario artists. Utilizing innovation, light and discovery, artists and creators are illuminating the park under a curatorial theme of “renewal,” celebrating the change of seasons from winter to spring.

Reserve a fire pit

Host your own camp fire by Lake Ontario while taking in the amazing views of the city. Don’t forget to bring some marshmallows!

Learn about the plants in Trillium Park

We’ve installed plaques to identify the various botany. You can also visit our website to use the interactive map and learn more about each species.
