OPEN CALL FOR ONTARIO ARTISTS
Lumière: The Art of Light will temporarily transform Trillium Park at Ontario Place in February and March, 2026. This free exhibition invites Ontario artists to explore light as a creative medium under the “Rhythms of Light: Motion, Sound, and Time.” This theme explores the relationship between light and transformation—through movement, sound, or time-based dynamics. Installations will be selected for their ability to create multisensory experiences that engage the public and reflect how light can pulse, shift, and evolve. The theme encourages a diverse range of artistic interpretations, from kinetic displays and musical influences to interactive and time-responsive works.
HOW TO SUBMIT A PROPOSAL
- Review all the criteria and info provided when building a submission.
- All light installations are site specific and familiarization with the site is invaluable to creating a successful proposal. Book a site tour by emailing oplumiere@ontario.ca.
- The deadline for submissions is Monday, October 27, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
