Providing Goods and Services to People with Disabilities
Ontario Place is committed to excellence in serving all visitors, customers and staff, including those with disabilities in the following areas:
Communication
We will communicate with people and strive to maintain a workplace and visitor, customer environment that is mindful and respectful of those with disabilities.
Assistive Devices
We are committed to serving people with disabilities who use assistive devices to obtain, use or benefit from our goods and services available on our premises. We will ensure that staff is trained and familiar with various assistive devices that may be used by visitors and customers and fellow employees with disabilities.
It is our policy to allow people with disabilities to use their personal assistive devices to engage with our space.
Ontario Place provides a number of assistive devices including:
Accessible Parking
Designated accessible parking spaces are available at Ontario Place on-site parking lots.
Automated Entry Doors
Ontario Place has automated entry doors at the Cinesphere.
Captioning and Assistive Devices
A limited quantity of assistive listening devices are available for select films presented at Cinesphere.
Washrooms
Accessible washrooms are available throughout the site.
Service Animals and Support Persons
Ontario Place welcomes people with disabilities who are accompanied by a Support Person. A Support Person accompanying a visitor with a disability will be granted free admission to Cinesphere upon making declaration or thorough the presentation of a recognized Accessibility cards such as the Easter Seals Disability Travel Card or Access 2 Entertainment Card.
