Secret Garden

Secret Garden

Secret Garden is an eye-catching, interactive artwork exploring the idea of perception. The artwork consists of a textured acrylic prism, housing a rotating, illuminated “neon garden.” Secret Garden consists of a variety of brightly coloured shapes, mimicking various blooming plants and flowers standing vertically within the acrylic prism to create a dense, colourful garden. The acrylic prism housing is made up of different styles of material that visually challenge our perception of what we see inside the prism. Various textured and frosted acrylic sheets subtly blur or obstruct the view of the illuminated garden, each in a unique way. This design ensures that the garden appears visually distinct depending on the angle or side from which it is observed. The artwork is thoughtfully crafted to spark curiosity and critical thinking, encouraging playful exploration and interaction. It invites viewers to reflect on how their perception shifts based on their vantage point, emphasizing the dynamic relationship between perspective and understanding.
