Ali Levy

Ali Levy is a Canadian singer-songwriter, born and raised in
Montreal. Her musical inspiration encompasses the power of Aretha Franklin, the swing of Ella Fitzgerald, and the heart of Carole King. Growing up, she always felt drawn to the stage; her childhood admiration for partaking in musical theatre swiftly became a gateway toward her passion of composition. In 2019, she released her first single, “Come Back”, on all streaming platforms. In August 2020, she released her single “Text Me in the Daylight” featuring Housefly.

In November 2022, Ali released her debut EP, “Warning Signs”. The four-track EP was recorded with her eight-piece band, consisting of all Schulich School of Music students: voice, trumpet, tenor saxophone, trombone, piano, guitar, electric bass, and drums. Her listeners have spread from Sweden and the United Kingdom, all the way back home to Canada. Now, at the age of twenty-two, Ali is completing her degree in Jazz Performance at McGill University’s Schulich School of Music, under the tutelage of Camille Thurman. Ali aspires to continue to write music from the heart, stemming from her individual experiences, yet perceived universally by those who listen.
