The music of Indigenous People is resonating world-wide, as people’s ears open to the many unique voices being shared. These voices, these Indigenous Sounds, are now resonating through songs of celebration, joy, sorrow, separation, reclamation, reconciliation, and more. Indigenous music has grown tremendously over the years and is heard across many genres. Be it country, blues, DJ’s, hip hop, rock, folk, or alternative music, Indigenous musicians are creating a musical mosaic like never before.
Music is medicine for the soul and there’s no better way to wrap up your summer than by enjoying an evening gathering of Indigenous music. Whether it’s heart-felt, toe-tapping or edgy, you will hear a wonderful spectrum of music. The power of Indigenous Sounds Now will once again resonate at SummerSeries in Trillium Park at Ontario Place for two free, all ages concerts. Trillium Park is an ideal place to listen to music, and maybe even dance on Mother Earth.
