Yoga in Trillium Park at Ontario Place is back with free yoga classes starting on June 1 to September 29 on select Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Each class is taught by an instructor for approximately 60 minutes and offers a mix of hatha and vinyasa yoga. Classes focus on mindfulness, strengthening the core, and cultivating connection between the breath and body. The classes are for students of all levels, and attendees should bring their own mat and water and sun protection. No registration required. Classes are rain or shine.
Vanessa is a Toronto based yoga teacher with a strong focus on combining flexibility and strength, while emphasizing breath and alignment. She encourages students to step out of their comfort zones with creative sequences, and to share their energy in a positive and fun space. Yoga helped Vanessa find a deeper awareness of her body, while also helping to clear her mind from the busy pace of city life. She was immediately drawn to the power of practice and using mindful breath to enjoy not just the physical benefits that can be gained from yoga, but the mental and spiritual aspects as well.
